We had to have an engineer sign off on it as we tied it in to the existing foundation, which DOES have a crawl space. (Not a basement, though.)<br /><br />It's all relative when it comes to "small renovations." With our previous house, we went through Phase 1 and Phase 2 of renovations, adding a grand total of approx. 800 sq ft.
